In-Home Creative Individual Session | Aubrey
The winter season is often a time when photographers can schedule model calls and creative shoots to stay in practice during the slower months. It’s the perfect chance to stretch those artistic muscles, test new ideas, and simply create something for the sake of creating. This year, I decided that my off-season focus would be to branch out into styles I’ve been dying to try (because let’s be real—you don’t have to niche down). I love creating art that pushes me outside of my normal rhythm, something that nudges my creativity in new directions. Sometimes, there’s just this unshakable pull to bring a concept to life—even if it’s only a vague feeling or aesthetic.
I went into this session with a pretty open-ended idea. All I knew was that I wanted to create something that felt a little more vintage, a little more nostalgic, and carried that dreamy, cinematic mood—think subtle “Her’s” vibes (if you know the band!!). It’s definitely a shift from my usual wedding work, but it’s a direction I’ve been curious to explore for a while. I’ve always had such a soft spot for individual sessions—they feel intimate, expressive, and personal in a way that’s hard to replicate.
That’s when I reached out to Aubrey. She’s such a cool human, and she was so down to collaborate and be a part of the creative process. From the beginning, we were bouncing ideas off each other, letting the shoot evolve naturally as we worked. It was one of those magical sessions where everything just clicks. I’m so obsessed with the way these photos turned out, and I honestly cannot wait to share more from this set!
