St. Paul, MN Engagement | Andrew & Katie

Andrew and Katie had the CUTEST engagement session this fall in St Paul, MN. We spent the entire session wandering around their neighborhood and nearby parks. They both really valued having the majority of their images edited to be film inspired which I absolutely loved!!

If you don’t know, I edit a portion of every gallery to look like film. While I don’t actually shoot real film, I do love to edit film inspired. I started editing film inspired in 2022 and fell in love with the look and feeling of it! I was so happy when Andrew and Katie mentioned how much they really love the look and feel as well, and wanted most of their gallery to resemble film.

With this in mind, I tried out a lot of new poses that I knew would go well with the film inspired edits, including direct sun, lots of shadows and movement, and interesting angles. I customize my posing process to each couple based off of their personalities, what is important to them when it comes to photos, and my own style and creativity. I never want to do the same 10 poses for every couple because I think each session deserves its own unique touch.

Andrew and Katie picked the perfect time to schedule their St. Paul engagement session. The fall colors were at their best and holy WOW was it beautiful! We even got to take a few pictures with their adorable puppy, Poppy!

To the amazing couple, thank you for allowing me to capture your engagement photos. Every part of the session was special and sentimental, and I am so glad I got to be a part of that. <3
